This Syrah from Larner Vineyard is a focused and expressive example of Ballard Canyon’s signature style. Dark, ripe black and blue fruits lead on the nose — blackberry compote, blueberry skin, and black plum — underscored by subtle florals and graphite. On the palate, the wine opens with power and poise: vibrant fruit is met with a rush of mid-palate energy and brightness, before unfolding into a beautifully textural, finely layered finish. The 500L French oak puncheon adds depth without excess weight, allowing the wine’s natural tension and structure to shine. Polished, lifted, and complete — a striking expression of site and variety.
