100% once used French oak and 30% whole cluster, this is an exciting Syrah hailing from Los Angeles County, with 8% Mourvédre from Paso and a little co-fermented Viognier. Savory notes of smoked meat and bacon fat leap from the glass mingling with ripe cherry, fresh wild blueberry, crushed peppercorns and tobacco. No harsh edges and medium to full bodied, the wine drinks incredibly soft with notes of ripe red fruit, firm tannins, and a finish of cigar box and dried herbs.
