Extended barrel aging in a blend of new and once-used French oak has elevated this wine into a powerful first release of the Joey Reserve. Aromas of blackberry compote, black cherry, and blueberry pie rise from the glass, accented by violets, crushed black pepper, anise, and sweet tobacco, with a dusting of cedar for depth. On the palate, layers of blackberry and blueberry meet notes of plum, dark currant, and savory spice. Silky yet firmly structured, it balances opulence with energy, framed by polished tannins and bright acidity.
